Department Profile
The Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering was established in the year 1994. The department offers 4 year B.Tech. degree program in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering with an annual intake of 60 Students. The Department is accredited twice by NBA of AICTE. The Department is covered under TEQIP
Mission
“ To inculcate the students to acquire outstanding skills in the emerging technologies and analytical thinking in the field of electronics & instrumentation to meet the challenges in the in the industry through practice oriented teaching and training.”
The Faculty
The Department has 09 members of faculty ( 2 Professors, 3 Assistant Professor, 4 Lecturers. and 3 members of supporting faculty. The faculty has teaching expertise in various specializations like electronic Instrumentation, Controls and Instrumentation, Communications, Digital Systems and Embedded Systems etc.
The Infrastructure
The Department is equipped with 9 labs exclusively for the department, One departmental computer centre, a departmental library, classrooms equipped with modern teaching aids and staff rooms. The laboratories include the Transducers Lab, Measurements lab, Process Control Lab, Bio Medical Instrumentation Lab, Advanced Instrumentation Lab, Electronics Devices and Digital lab , Computer Center, Virtual Instrumentation Lab and Embedded systems Lab. Apart from this the students are also trained in the Basic Electronics Lab, Digital & Integrated Circuits Labs, Communication skills lab, DSP lab and Microprocessor lab.
Achivements
The Electronic Instrumentation Engineering students have been consistently securing top ranks in GATE examination during the last three years and stand high in the university among the various colleges affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University. A good number of students have been selected through campus recruitment process for placement in reputed companies like TCSL, Wipro, Satyam, Infosys, L&T etc. During the last two years nearly 50 students qualified in GATE out of these 11 students obtained all India ranks below 100.
