EEE Department was established in 1995. The Present intake is 145. Department is accredited twice by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi since 2003. Eight batches have passed out with excellent academic performance. The students of Department have an excellent record in terms of University and GATE Ranks. University first Rank was bagged 6 times so far. All India 12th, 4th and 11th rank was achieved in GATE-2000, GATE 2005 and GATE 2008 respectively.

The Department has excellent Lab facilities required for Research and Consultancy apart from UG & PG requirements with state of art equipment. The some of major equipments include DSP Based AC & DC drives, Power Network Analyzer, Universal Relay Test Kit, Cable Fault Locator and Thermal Image Camera. The professional soft wares PSCAD, ETAP, MATLAB, PSIM and Mi Power are also available for active research.
