The Department of Chemical Engineering which is accredited by NBA (National Board of Accreditation) from March 2007 was established in the year 1997 and has been offering under graduate course (with an intake of 60 students excluding management quota), has excellent laboratory, library facilities including a well established computer center. It has lofty aims of producing integrated students of highest caliber with dedicated and diligent faculty members from reputed institutions like IITs, NITs and Universities. The department has been producing excellent academic results both at university level and at GATE on national level every year and GRE/TOEFL on international level.

Our students obtained ALL INDIA 7th, 9th, 12th, 22nd,25th, 33rd, 37th,44th, 46th,49th, 60th,61st, 65th, 69th, 88th and 91st and 97th RANKS in top hundred in GATE till 2007. The students of the department have bagged job immediately after B.Tech in BABA ATOMIC RESEARCH CENTER (BARC) for three consecutive years (2003-2005). Students are also well placed in software companies through campus placements. Also the students have been excelling in co-curricular activities like paper presentations, quizzes and other technical competitions in large number. The department has been actively engaged in developing the B.Tech Biotechnology program of the college since 2003.
